Hello, I’m Dimitra,

I bring more than three decades of experience guiding travelers through Europe to my role as the history and archaeology specialist for women’s retreats in Greece. With a lifelong passion for classical antiquity, I hold a BA in Classical History and Art from New York University, a foundation that continues to inform my deeply engaging approach to storytelling and place-based learning.

Having led cultural and walking tours across Greece, Italy, and other parts of Europe for over 30 years, I have a rare ability to make the ancient world feel vivid, personal, and relevant. My lectures and guided walks are thoughtfully woven into each retreat, offering participants a meaningful connection to the landscapes they inhabit—whether tracing the footsteps of ancient women, exploring sacred spaces, or unpacking the art, myths, and daily life of classical Greece.

My Greek and American background allows me to bridge scholarly insight with warmth, accessibility, and a genuine love for sharing Greece’s cultural heritage. For me, history is not confined to ruins or museums; it lives in the land, the light, the stories, and the rhythms of daily life. Through my guidance, retreat participants are invited to slow down, walk with intention, and experience Greece as a living, layered cultural experience.
